Promising 4YO racemare Black Queen (Mongolian Khan) looked an exciting staying prospect for the future when recording her third win from her last four starts at Warwick Farm in Sydney yesterday.

Bred by owners John & Margaret Thompson and Windsor Park Stud, the improving daughter of back to back Horse Of The Year Mongolian Khan relished the distance of the 2400m event, finishing the race off strongly to record a solid ¾ length victory for trainer Chris Waller.

Meanwhile at Hastings fellow Windsor Park-bred 4YO Eagle Hunter, a first-crop son of Mongolian Khan, proved too strong for his opposition when recording an impressive victory over 2100m.

Trained by Danica Guy, Eagle Hunter stayed on strongly down the home straight to win going away from his opposition by 2 ¾ lengths.

Mongolian Khan has enjoyed an excellent run recently with his winning progeny also including Suppression, My Squeeze Louise and Made By Khan in Australia as well as Ulaanbaatar and Yes We Khan in New Zealand.
