Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit) continued his rich vein of form yesterday, after the John McConnell-trained Rockview Spirit (2 f ex Deraaya by Mujahid) ran out a brave winner of the Irish Stallion Farms 2YO Fillies Maiden Stakes (5f) at Down Royal to become the 16th first crop winner for the stallion.

The two-year-old filly prevailed in a blanket finish to beat Sundance Star (Helmet) by a short-head with the same distance back to Rita Levi (Kodiac) in third.

Charm Spirit was handed his first group winner on Thursday after the Roger Varian trained Yourtimeisnow’s win in the Dick Poole Fillies’ Stakes (Gr 3, 6f) at Salisbury.

A triple Gr.1 winner and highest earning son of Invincible Spirit, Charm Spirit also recently sired his first southern hemisphere trials winner with his first SH starter at Te Teko recently.
